Developed as an app that supports charity, “The Good Kitchen” was a personal undertaking aiming to provide nutritious food to malnourished children in the Philippines, whose parents are not able to afford nutritious food for their kids, due to poverty. Malnutrition among school students in the Philippines is a particularly prevalent problem in rural villages and city slums. “The Good Kitchen” was an app developed in order to improve student health as well as their school performance.
User-friendly and simple as ABC, this app works in 3 easy steps:
1. The food donor using the app can conveniently locate any nearby public schools as seen on the map.
2. They can then pick from a list the food they intend to prepare.
3. And lastly choose the Time and Date they can deliver the food to that school.
The project is a mobile application that even uses a gamified system, such that for every completed donation, the user earns points and badges progressively.
